hulloooo der

just finished all my testing i would need for this wednesday Razz but i have really been monstering those kerbs up at variante alte, that fast chicane at the top of the circuit. i just want to know if we have to keep at least 2wheels on those kerbs at all times at that spot, coz i will just need to do a few laps to sort that out then.

lemme kno

ok, i just tried to the extent u can cut, and its pretty horrifying Razz

http://download.yousendit.com/FEE66D8F5E4C6270

so of course, i think this should be disallowed, and 2W must stay on the kerbs at ALL times. i reckon top4 drivers' laps should be checked, including race replays. if they cut, they shud be penalised strictly....even if they are one millimetre away from 2W, then shame Razz if there is deliberate intention of cutting, then u die Razz u hafta draw the line somewhere Wink

and there is another issue which i have found too. before the start line, u can absolutely fly, flat out, down the escape road. the lap wont count, but for qualifying runs, this gives u a solid boost over the finish line....u can gain a FEW seconds in the 1st sector, very silly Razz so i think this must be watched out for too, we needta be strict on illegal shit....

wat do u say, hugo?

Now its my time to flood through the boards !!! LOL.. Okay, first things first, the Variante Alta (Chicane) should NOT be cut on purpose. Any attempts to do it will be penalised after the race. Regarding the cutting before the Finish Line, that won't be allowed and will be checked. Even though it's on the Outlap and on Qualifying the whole idea is to simulate real life racing and they dont cut on purpose in real life...well maybe ide or sato LOL!!!

Ok but what will you class as a cut, and how harsh are you gonna be, cause i dont wanna do a good race and then have me DQ cause i have cut once when I didnt think it was a cut...

personally i think quali laps should be REALLY strict....as in: if u have more than 2W off the kerbs at any point, even be it 1mm, u must be sent to back of the grid.

in the race i think it shud be more leniant, and if there is deliberate cutting to gain time more than once, then a time penalty should be imposed after the race....

thats my bit Razz

Well, qualifying is qualifying, people make mistakes under pressure, to penalize them by going to the back of the grid from a mistake is unfair.

Oh if you guys are talking about that corner on top of the track just before it goes downhill in the third sector. I know that in an unnofficial race (I think it was unof.) some guys cut there as well, back then I guess it was allowed, not that we talked about it. (Haha, that last part of the sentence could come straight out of Full House, let's talk about it, haha)

I think that you shouldn't be able to cut, but running wide on the variante alte is alright.

If you run wide on that corner, you're goig to lose time. It's very easy to see whether you run wide or cut it.
